Participating in the event from September 5-21 is free and open to all artists and all media. Artists may paint at any location within the boundaries of the golden triangle (between Speer, Colfax and Lincoln). The following venues have given permission to artists to paint on their grounds: Denver Art Museum's Acoma Plaza and Martin Plaza, Byers-Evans House Museum and more.
Artists have the option of entering one or more pieces (no limit) completed during the event into the juried competition ($10 per entry). Judged by Jill Rosentrater, director of Art in Public Places with the Colorado Council of Arts, Rose Fredrick, writer and curator of Coors Western Art Exhibit and Dean Sobel, director of the Clyfford Still Museum. Cash and prizes will be awarded. Accepted works will be exhibited at The Denver Public Library, 7th floor from Nov 10 - Dec 31, 2009.
